What VoIP Phone System is best for your business depends on your needs. Are you a small business owner that works out of a home office then you could use any VoIP Phone Service for that. If you are a small business owner that has perhaps 4-8 extensions in your office or shop then you can utilize a particular VoIP Phone System that I am partial to called MCK which is now owned by Citel.

The reason I am partial to Citel’s VoIP Phone Sytem is twofold. First is, I used to upgrade and test them when I was a repair technician at my father’s telecom business. This was mostly done on the older models made by MCK and are simply referred to as MCK’s.

Second is the manufacturing on the MCK’s are second to none, highly reliable and have been around for a while and I guess that is why Citel acquired them. There are several series of MCK models depending on your needs and you would have to get them from a reseller. The 6000 series is very popular and you can get them in 8 or 12 lines. The MCK VoIP Phone Systems are great.

If you have more than one office or are looking at expanding to other offices and would like to save money by not having to buy an entire new system for that new office then there are the remote modules that are basically called Branch Office Extenders and can be anywhere in the world yet connected to the main MCK Switch or PBX. So you can add another extension and when a customer calls the main line if the department they want is located across the country you can transfer them and it will be no different than them being transferred down the hall. Another option is Business VoIP Service

For bigger installations I would also suggest Avaya IP Office modules. They are highly reliable and have excellent support. So depending on your needs and how much growth you for see make sure you get an expandable system. The two VoIP Phone Systems that I suggest are the MCK 6000 series and Avaya IP Office solutions.
