VoIP Company

There are many choices for a VoIP Company out there today. Some of the more popular ones are Vonage and Packet 8 which is now called 8×8, Inc. In choosing a VoIP company for your home phone service you want to choose one that is solid and provides great customer service all at a great rate.

Just because Vonage is the most popular doesn’t mean they are the best option out there. There are many VoIP Companies that you have never heard of that provide great service and a much better rate. Some examples are QT Talk, Phone Power!, Lingo, VoIP.com and MyPhonecompany.com.

I suggest you do a little side by side comparison and just check into the reviews about the particular VOIP Company you want to choose. For any of you that have been around the VoIP phone service community for a while you know that not all good companies last. I used to be a customer of Sunrocket which was a great VOIP Company. I used them for a couple of years and then suddenly my service ended and I found out that Sunrocket suddenly shut down. Not only was it a surprise to the customers but apparently it was a surprise to the employees as well.

So make sure you look around a bit and even ask friends and family that have a VoIP Company as their home phone service provider what they think of their service. I know I have a friend who was also with Sunrocket but now he is with 8×8, Inc formally Packet 8 and is a satisfied customer.

If you are someone who makes a lot of long distance phone calls especially to overseas then choosing a VoIP long distance company to provide you your home phone service is going to be your best option hands down. One last thing to remember is when making a 911 call if the VoIP phone service you have hasn’t complied yet with the FCC mandate then the 911 emergency service will not be able to locate you. See my article VoIP Phone Service and E911.

This is a very helpful article. I didn’t know most of these companies existed. However, I found a link that does some comparison of the different companies listed. http://ld.net/truetelecom
